We spent four days at our cottage in Jalasjärvi over the Easter holiday. We had the pleasure of visiting with our good neighbors and just hanging out with them. One of them has an exchange student from New Zealand and the other other's son has a girlfriend who is an exchange student from Mediterranean island of Sardinia. Tiina and the boys spent some time learning Italian from her.
We attended the lighting of the Easter bonfire and stayed there for about an hour. There were a few witches to be seen and they didn't seem to be frightened by the fire at all. Pictured here are Jasmin and Jessica Moilanen from Oulu.
Grilled sausages were being served as well as little cartons of juice. The fire was really good this year. Not so much junk in the bonfire so it burnt clean, fast and very hot! It was st
